Seven more people have died with symptoms of measles across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths from measles and related symptoms to 1,009 since March 15 this year.
The information was disclosed in the Directorate General of Health Services’ regular measles report released on Saturday.
According to the report, 855 suspected measles patients were identified across the country during the last 24 hours.
Earlier on Friday (September 11), three people died with measles symptoms, while 1,012 new suspected cases were reported during the same period.
