Saheel Wazir Mamun Mugdha, a student of Shaheen English Medium College, has secured the highest grade in four subjects in the June 2026 Cambridge International AS Level examinations, with his family claiming he ranked first in Bangladesh in the “Best Across Four” category.

Mugdha, the younger son of Brigadier General Dr Mamun Ur Rashid, achieved grade ‘a’ in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

According to his Cambridge Statement of Results, he obtained Percentage Uniform Marks (PUM) of 96 in Biology, 97 in Chemistry, 97 in Physics and 100 in Mathematics, averaging 97.5 across the four subjects.

His family said he had earned the “Best Across Four” distinction for his performance, placing him first among candidates in Bangladesh.

The claimed national ranking, however, could not be independently verified from the statement of results.

Cambridge International AS Level examinations award grades from ‘a’ to ‘e’, with ‘a’ being the highest.

The PUM indicates a candidate’s performance on a standardised scale and does not represent the actual percentage of marks obtained in an examination.
