BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman stated that ‘clandestine forces’ and autocratic elements have once again joined hands. He claimed that covert communications were maintained between these ‘clandestine forces’ and the ousted regime during the last general election.
He made these remarks on Thursday (October 1) while addressing a program at the Government Pilot High School grounds in Phulgazi, Feni. The event was organized to distribute Family Cards, Farmer Cards, and monthly honorariums to imams, muezzins, khadims of mosques, and staff of other religious places of worship.
Tarique Rahman said, “They have always been one and the same. The autocrats and clandestine forces have reunited once more.” Without naming any specific political party, he urged everyone to remain vigilant against political forces engaged in ‘clandestine’ and ‘autocratic’ politics.
The Prime Minister asserted that these political entities only pursue power for its own sake and lack any genuine agenda for the nation. In contrast, he claimed that the BNP has proven its commitment to serving the public through concrete actions.
He further noted that certain quarters are attempting to instigate anarchy in the country. Urging the public to stay alert, he questioned the actual political agendas of opposition parties.
He remarked that while some demand a single-point agenda and others have fled the country, it remains crucial to question what tangible programs they actually offer for the benefit of the people.
Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated several development projects and attended various programs in Parshuram and Phulgazi of Feni. His speech highlighted the country’s recent political situation, concerns over potential unrest, and the role of political parties.
