Abdullah Al Amin, Member of Parliament and Central Joint Member Secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has launched a fiery verbal assault on a River Police officer, directly accusing him of taking commissions from illegal soil extraction.
Details of the heated exchange surfaced after a video clip of the phone conversation was published online by a national daily.
In the video circulating on social media, MP Abdullah Al Amin is heard aggressively confronting the River Police Inspector (Officer-in-Charge): “Listen, there are numerous allegations against you. Stop this nonsense of taking commissions from illegal soil cutting while claiming to conduct drives. You are taking cuts from soil extraction.”
Issuing a stern warning, the MP added: “If these allegations are false, ensure no soil is cut starting tomorrow. If soil extraction continues in that area, you will be in deep trouble.”
Although the officer’s responses were barely audible in the video, the MP was seen replying: “Alright, we will be watching.”
Concluding the call, the lawmaker demanded an immediate halt to illegal soil extraction along the riverbanks, saying: “Everyone crossing the river can see that soil is being mined. Don’t sit back and sleep on the job. Am I clear?”
