Rashed Khan, Political Assistant to the Prime Minister, has claimed that Nasiruddin Patwary, the current Chief Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), was permanently expelled from the Chhatra Federation during his time in student politics over allegations of stealing a laptop belonging to a female student of Dhaka University.
Rashed Khan made this explosive claim in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (September 29).
In the social media post, Rashed Khan alleged that following the laptop theft incident involving a female DU student in 2019, the then-leaders of the Chhatra Federation formed an investigation committee. After collecting evidence and confirming the truth of the allegations, the investigation committee permanently expelled him from the organization.
As proof of his claim, Rashed Khan attached an image of the expulsion notice issued against Nasiruddin Patwary by the Bangladesh Chhatra Federation at the time in the comment section of the post.

Rashed Khan further claimed that after his expulsion, Nasiruddin remained inactive in politics for a long time before making a comeback by joining the AB Party, although they were unaware of the theft incident.

Criticizing the post-mass uprising scenario and the NCP leader’s political rise, Rashed Khan wrote on Facebook, “Due to the mass uprising and his proximity to Nahid Islam, Nasiruddin Patwary got the opportunity to transition from a laptop thief into a goat thief. How does a thief like Nasir—whose initiation into student politics began with laptop theft and into national politics with goat theft—lecture others on morality and ethics?”
In a separate post attaching the photo of the expulsion order, he commented on Nasiruddin Patwary’s political past, writing, “The deed of current NCP leader Nasiruddin Patwary, who was expelled from the Chhatra Federation over a laptop theft!”
