Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has firmly declared that Tehran will never bow down to foreign sanctions, severe economic and military pressure, or direct force, emphasizing that the country can never be coerced into surrender.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Wednesday (23 September), the Iranian President articulated his nation’s unyielding stance before world leaders on the global stage.
In his address to world leaders at the UN session, President Pezeshkian said, “By now, the adversaries must have realized that forcing Iran into submission through pressure is impossible.”
Elaborating on his argument, Pezeshkian noted that throughout its long history, Iran has never pursued an aggressive posture nor initiated any war; rather, the country has consistently expressed its willingness to engage in bilateral and multilateral discussions for peace in the international arena.
Directly addressing US President Donald Trump from the same global platform, Pezeshkian issued a stern warning. He clearly stated that Washington’s sanctions, military pressure, and unilateral policy of “bullying” will not dampen the resilience of the Iranian people, but will instead embolden it further.
Reiterating Iran’s diplomatic position, he stated that his country remains open to constructive dialogue and diplomacy based on mutual respect and equal footing. However, he cautioned that Tehran will never accept the language of threat or force.
President Pezeshkian delivered his firm address at the UN General Assembly amidst a highly tense and sensitive international geopolitical climate.
Notably, preceding the Iranian head of state’s address at the same UNGA session, US President Donald Trump reiterated a stern stance against Iran, hinting at the possibility of direct military action.
